Chicken Count 29!!!!

I just turned off the incubator this morning, the last four eggs have hatched! To my husbands horror all of the fertile eggs are now wee little chickies!!! All 23 of the babies have feathered feet! Ten of the babies are Mrs. Squirty's so they are purebred cochins☺ The other 13 are cute little mutts! I have tons of outside chores to do today, I think it's supposed to rain all weekend (hopefully) so have a great day, I've got some work to do!!!

    1. I feel very fortunate that they all hatched. My middle daughter is glad too. She thinks I would have been crying and burying eggs in the backyard LOL!!!

  4. You have done a great job to get so many to hatch!
They will grow fast and be ready for winter.

    2. It makes for some long days without internet but I eventually will get used to it. I started putting my photos in a current photo folder so that I would know what I haven't posted and that helps me remember what has happened over the last few days.

  5. We say we have a green thumb for gardening . . . what do they call it when you have a real talent for incubating and hatching chicks? You've definitely got it going for you. Those little fluff balls are so cute to watch! We have a mama bantam with her four little chicks she hatched with no help from us and I can't believe how cute her chicks have stayed. They're completely feathered out but are still the size of a tea cup!
