This is Lady, she is a few months older than Bub, we got her to keep him company so he wouldn't cry for me all the time and it worked! Lady was from a herd of 30 and now is in a herd of 2, so for the first few days she cried louder than Bub ever did, it was heart wrenching :( All is settled now, we are in a routine and everyone is happy ☺ I spend hours with them while they browse, they are so sweet and she is Queen of the Mountain (rock) in our backyard!!!!
Glad that Lady settled in and isn't crying anymore. And your other goat has a buddy.
ReplyDeleteDo you plan to breed her and milk her when she's old enough?
Yep that's the plan! I have to seperate them soon, he is getting a little fresh! I will probally get a wether to live with him and another doe to stay with her ☺
DeleteSo cute! Glad they are playing together. I bet it is hard to not go out and just watch them for hours on end.
ReplyDeleteI do spend at least an hour everyday with them in what I call the "back, backyard". It's rocky, hilly, and woodsy but cleared. Watching them play and browse, listening to the summer bugs and birds, it's so peaceful ♥
