Damn tick!!!!!

I can't quit clawing at my leg! It attached its nasty self in the crease on the back of my leg. I'm pretty sure it was riding a vein. This is an itch that can't be scratched away, uggghhhhhh!!!!!!

Also saw a tarantula this morning. Summer is definitely here. Have a great day ya'll and stay out of tall grass!!!!!!

  1. Ugh, I HATE it when I get a tick or chigger bite back there! We saw our first tarantula a few weeks ago, but I usually see them in October during their migration or booty-call or whatever.

  2. I've had my share of chiggers but never a tick (knock on wood)!

  3. Kelly,

I haven't seen either this year so far. I've seen several Recluse spiders. Be careful!!

  4. I have had several tick bites this year, they weren't really attached but for some reason they itch like crazy for days. Reminded me of an old Farside cartoon where a mosquito hit an artery and inflated as another one yelled for it to pull out!

  5. We've got our share of ticks these days. We never used to have them but supposedly because our winters are getting milder, the da*# ticks are now able to survive up here. But we do NOT (thank you, thank you, thank you) have tarantulas. Do they bite? Hubby used to keep one or two in a terrarium in his classroom for the kids, but they didn't bite. Maybe they were a different kind?

  6. We have ticks bad here in Delaware. Just step outside your back door anywhere near a tree and you will get one. We check each other and the dogs nightly. Nothing like a itchy tick or skeeter bite. No tarantulas here. Thank Goodness.

  8. The itch is the substance they inject to keep your blood from coagulating while they suck it up. I was eight-years-old the last time I had a tick on me--almost 60 years ago. I hate them.

  10. Hey Kelly,

Hope all is well. Ticks are a pain this year, be careful you don't want to get Lyme disease. Some areas of the U.S. it's really bad.
