Ah heck, Kelly, if you needed a few Brussel sprouts why didn't you yell. I'd of sent a few.
Awww! How sweet Stephen :)
Wow! Applause, applause to you for succeeding in over-wintering those luscious looking Brussels sprouts!! That is quite a feat in my book.
Thank you Mama Pea, I honestly can't believe they survived :)
Those look delicious. One of our most favorite vegetables, especially super fresh like yours!
They are so good! I can't wait! My favorite veg is asparagus. Fingers crossed my chickens didn't ruin my bed it's three years old now and I had high hopes for it this year :/
Hahaha .... You prob did look like a crazy woman, but you've got great results ... Good for you
I even stepped back and thought "what are you doing there is snow on the ground" LOL!!! Definitely worth it now :)
Kelly, That's disgusting. I won't cook or eat them. My husband waits till I'm gone to cook them for himself. Yuck!
You're still a crazy lady though.
For sure ;)
I saw a chef fixing them on TV and he cut the little stems out of the round part, kind of made a cone indent in it, he said that the stem part is what gives them an off taste.
I do knick the stems with a knife. I was feeling lazy and going to skip that part tonight. Well not now! Thanks SBF!
Beautiful! I wish I could grow Brussels Sprouts here!
Hooray for you! Those look amazing!
