This week....

I have not only been having fun with the elf! And playing with my adorable puppy! I have made soap! The white one is my plain ol' goats milk soap and the brown one is called peppermint patty ☺ It looks like a brownie and smells like peppermint! The hubs thinks it looks gross but smells good, I will share the recipe once it's ready and I can try it!

I was also pleasantly surprised that my tomatoes ripened in the window. Yummy! I'm going to make chow chow with the green ones. My mom and I love chow chow on bean chowder ☺ Hopefully the recipe I have is a good one!
And for those of you who like the elf pics, Snowball was found watching a movie with Flynn Ryder this morning! Have a great day everyone ☺

    1. I don't have a goat in milk yet! I bought frozen goats milk from the farm where I got my female goat. She is pregnant so milking is in my very near future :)
I want the scream from my child, she isn't too with it in the mornings!!! I may do something shocking tonight!

    1. I will post the plain soap recipe, it's a keeper. Chow chow is like a relish, at the store you can get it mild or hot so I might add a poblano pepper to mine. I got your email ☺

    1. I picked all of the tomatoes before the last frost we had a few weeks ago. I was suprised when they turned red and they are soooo good! I'm going to harvest my collards tomorrow, and I have a great looking head of brocoli that's ready, I can't wait!

  5. Hi Kelly, I have never tried to make soap . . . oh, wait a minute that is not true . . . I tried to make old fashion lye soap once, over 50 years ago. Mine never hardened, so I had this bucket full of thick goop (I ended up using it for laundry soap). It was not a pretty sight :(
but it did get our clothes clean.
I never tried making soap again, LOL
    Yours look wonderful :)
Be sure an visit next week and enter my give-away.
    Your blogging sister, Connie :)
