Valentine Gift

The hubs outdid himself this year!!!! For this Valentines I received a nice bouquet of flowers, three fruit trees, and a pair of overalls! I don't know how long it took him to guess my size and find a pair of mens overalls to fit me, but they fit like a glove! According to him, he had never seen anyone look so good in overalls, but they are a little snug in some parts and although I might look "hot" in them, I would rather be comfortable while working in the garden. My goal with the overalls is to avoid having plumbers butt and these gave me a super wedgie! I did enjoy the compliments but they are going back to the store. I'm impressed with his thoughtful and sensible gifts this year. It shows me that he is really listening when I talk LOL!!!! What did you get for Valentines Day?

  1. I got chocolates and I baked the girls a strawberry/strawberry layer cake. I don't know, you may want to keep those overalls and just get another pair for the garden.

    1. Awww how sweet, your cake sounds yummy!
I'm too frugal to keep something I won't ever wear and I want to find a pair at a thrift store that have been washed a gazillion times and are comfy, these things felt like they were starched and could stand on their own LOL! It was a nice compliment to hear since I still have a couple extra holiday pounds to shed, so points for the hubs ☺

  3. As great as you may look in those overalls, we gotta be able to bend over (without pain) in the garden so I'd be with you on trying for another fit!

My dear hubby got me a lovely decorated basket holding a miniature cyclamen and a gorgeous violet. Just the right size as "decoration" on the kitchen table.

    1. I agree on the overalls! I wanted some so I wouldn't have plumbers butt when I work in garden but these were too snug in the fanny to be comfortable LOL!

  5. We don't exchange V-day gifts. However, I had committed to making two breakfasts casseroles for work today. Husband cooked up all the ingredient & grated the cheese for me while I mixed the milk & eggs to assemble them to soak overnight. Saved me lots of time, plus it was nice to work together.

  6. We don't exchange gifts on valentines either...years ago we decided that it was important to do special things for each other all year long to say and show we love each other, not on just on a certain day...so now I get flowers for no reason at all, or candy, a new gardening tool, a new batch of chicks...etc.

  9. Kelly,
Sweet.....overalls sweet!!! Your man was listening and bought you exactly what you asked for.

My husband and I don't really exchange gifts on Valentine's Day. I've always told Bulldog Man, save your money because it's more expensive on Valentine's to by things. Just buy them throughout the year. He's very good about it, I find these little surprises all the time.

  10. When you take those overalls back and get some from a thrift store, get a 2nd pair that are a little too tight for special work. lol I bought myself a $1 valentine box of candy that was reduced to $.50 after midnight. Earlier, I teased a little kiss out of exbf who was here to help me do a thing or two since I cannot with my disabilities. It was just a peck of a kiss!

  11. Wonderful! I've been debating some overalls to throw over my clothes for goat and puppy time so I don't have to change clothes 3 times a day.

    What kinds of fruit trees?

  13. Hubby is the valentine's guy. I'm not a holiday person, I participate because it's the norm for others. I want overalls too! Especially non-wedgie ones! I enjoyed this post so cute, always love when our boys do thoughtful things.
